Plan
Yard AR requires AR features (Premium+) and works on a phone with a camera and GPS.
Yard AR is the apiary-level augmented-reality view (distinct from the per-hive AR hive view). As you walk up to a yard, it uses your phone's GPS and compass to identify the nearest hive and float a label over each colony - its name, distance, compass direction, and status - so you never mix up which hive is which.
Before you start
- A Premium plan with AR features
- A phone with a camera and GPS
- Each hive needs its own GPS - set it on the hive form or with Save GPS
- 1
Open the apiary and choose "AR yard view"
From the apiary detail overflow menu (it appears when AR is enabled).

Result
As you walk the yard, each colony is labeled on screen with its name, distance, and compass direction.
Tip
Use Outdoor mode (the toggle in the top bar) for a high-contrast overlay in bright sun, and toggle labels on/off as needed.
