Mite Check uses AI photo analysis, a Premium feature. Without it you can still enter counts manually in the inspection form.
Counting mites in a wash jar is tedious and easy to get wrong in the field. Mite Check lets the camera do the first pass: run your alcohol wash or sugar roll as usual, photograph the sample, and the AI suggests a count that you verify before saving.
From hive detail, choose "Mite Check" ("Count a wash sample from a photo"):

Photograph your wash sample
Spread the sample in a shallow white dish so mites separate, fill the frame, use bright even light, and tap to focus. The screen walks you through these tips.

Pick the method and check sharpness
Choose Alcohol wash or Sugar roll. If the mites look blurry to you, they will be blurry to the AI - retake before analyzing.

Tap Count mites
Counting takes a few seconds. The AI's suggested count appears in an editable field - check it against the jar and correct it if needed. If the photo is not clear enough, the app says so and you enter the count yourself.

Save into an inspection

You always confirm the number - the AI count is a suggestion, never auto-saved. Thresholds come from your treatment settings.

Wash photos the counter cannot count confidently may be saved to improve mite counting. No hive, location, or account details are attached. See Privacy Policy §4.3a.
